Mike is a leading Workplace Lawyer, with over 20 years’ experience in all areas of employment law and industrial relations.
His practice has a focus on the mining, LNG, construction, manufacturing and health industries, where he has a particular expertise in enterprise bargaining, unfair dismissal and general protection litigation, breach of contract matters, performance management, equal opportunity and discrimination, workplace investigations and occupation health & safety law.

As an employment and labour specialist, Mike advises on all aspects of the employment relationship and has significant advocacy experience in state and federal industrial tribunals and the Federal Court.

He is admitted to practice in WA, QLD, ACT and the High Court of Australia.

Michael is an employment and safety lawyer as well as being an experienced human resources professional and work health and safety professional.
Michael’s two main areas of practice are:
Employment: Advice, assistance and training in all areas of employment law including: employment contracts, awards and agreements; employment policies and procedures, workplace investigations; remuneration and benefit entitlements, workplace behaviour, discipline, performance management, discrimination, workers’ compensation, and legal representation for unfair dismissal, adverse action, and other employment claims.
Safety: Advice, assistance and training in all areas of work health and safety (WHS) including: WHS legal compliance, WHS management systems, WHS policies and procedures, hazard management, risk management, contractor management, serious accident investigations, crisis and emergency management, injury management, public safety and liability, and legal representation for WHS regulator investigations, enforcement action and prosecution.
He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.
